CHILDREN OF MARY A. HARRIS AND GEORGE W. TURNBOW
(Child #6 of William B. Harris and Sarah Dodson)

Mary A. Harris4 (Wm. B3., Wooten2, Isaac1) was born in March, 1833, in Fayette County, Illinois. She married George W. Turnbow October 28, 1854, in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born in May, 1824 in Tennessee. Mary was his second wife. He had five children by his first wife, Lucette "Lucy" Pearson. He died January 19, 1908, at age 83, in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, and was buried in Harris Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. Mary died January 22, 1917, in Fayette County, Illinois.

Sarah Jane Turnbow5 (Mary A. Harris4, Wm. B. Harris3, Wooten2, Isaac1) was born October 2, 1855 in Fayette County, Illinois, and died on February 10, 1940 also in Fayette County, Illinois. She married Henry M. Pope, as his third wife, on April 26, 1873 in Fayette County, Illinois. His birth and death dates were given as (1853-1922) on his tombstone in Browning Cemetery, Fayette County, Illinois. In the 1870 census, he was listed in the household of Ludwick Harrison, age 73, born in North Carolina, and Rachel, age 48, born in Tennessee. At that time Henry was age 16, born in Illinois. Rachel Pope married Ludwick Harrison on September 6, 1860, in Fayette County, Illinois.

John W. Turnbow5 (Mary A. Harris4, Wm. B3., Wooten2, Isaac1) was born in November, 1856, in Fayette County, Illinois. He married Mahala Frances Harris on August 29, 1878, in Fayette County, Illinois. She was born October 9, 1862, in Montgomery County, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin A. Harris 4 (Wm. B.3, Wooten2, Isaac1) and Louisa "Eliza" Van Watkins. They were cousins. Her father, Benjamin A. Harris, was the brother of his mother, Mary A. Harris. They were living in Hurricane Townsip, Fayette County, Illinois when the 1880 census was taken. They lived in Fillmore Township, Montgomery County, Illinois when the 1900 census was taken, and in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, at the time of the 1910 census.
