CHILDREN OF ELIZABETH M. HARRIS AND PLEASANT F. SCRIBNER
(Child #8 of William B. and Sarah Dodson)

Elizabeth M. Harris4 (Wm. B.3, Wooten2, Isaac1) was born in Fayette County, Illinois. in about 1836; she was age 14 when the 1850 census was taken there. She married Pleasant Frank Scribner, son of Pleasant Scribner and Mary Ann Venable, on March 13, 1853, in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri. He was born in September, 1833, in Illinois. She was his first wife. He married second, August 30, 1870, Catherine Hicks , daughter of James Thomas Hicks and Catherine Harris3 (Wooten2, Isaac1), and the widow of James Martin Van Buren Williams. Their children are listed under Catherine's name, in this Part, Chpter 8.7, Descendants of Catherine Hicks.

Sarah Ellen Scribner5 (Eliz. M. Harris4, Wm. B3., Wooten2, Isaac1) was born July 18, 1862 in Bingham, Fayette County, Illinois, and died June 26, 1958. She married Anthony T. Garland, son of Nathaniel M. Garland and Laura Ann Harrison, on August 8, 1886 in Fayette County, Illinois. He was born in January, 1867 in Illinois, according to the 1900 census for Fillmore Townwhip, Montgomery County, Illinois. He died in 1924 in Christian County, Illinois. They lived in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, Illinois, when the census was taken in 1910.
