Zachariah Harris, Jr.3 (Zach.2, Isaac1) was born December 30, 1805 in Franklin County, Georgia. His birthdate was obtained by correspondence with one of his descendants, Shirley M. He married Sarah Jane "Jincy" Rhodes on January 30, 1822 while his family was still living in Humphreys County. Her parents have not been identified. Zachariah and Jincy were the parents of one child. After they moved to Illinois, they joined the Liberty Baptist Church in Bingham, Fayette County, Illinois, on the "3rd Saturday in July 1837." This is the last record we found that was made while Jincy was alive. She must have died shortly after this.

Zachariah married Elmira Freeman Foster on February 15, 1838 in Madison County, Illinois. Elmira was born October 17, 1807 in Maine, the daughter of Oliver Foster and Hannah Eldred.
